A bit about me..
I want to leave this world knowing I made a difference. I used to blog about fashion, but as my views on the world changed, so did my passions. I couldn’t write about something I didn’t support anymore. I couldn’t put my money into things I didn’t agree with. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not gonna move to some self sufficient village in a mountain jungle in India anytime soon. Nor am I going to give up my worldly goods and cut off all my hair to live in loincloth with the monks.
But, in the past few years, I have been more considerate about my choices. I support local and independent where possible, and only buy natural fibre clothing. I purchase second hand, support ethical and sustainable trades, and always carry round my reusable tote bags. I switched up my diet and began buying most of my food in bulk in reusable and recyclable packaging. Heck, I didn’t buy nearly anything in plastic for the first half of 2018!
I like a good drink as much as the next person, and I indulge in the odd shopping spree. I enjoy eating out, going to parties, experiencing all life has to offer.. but I also enjoy the feeling of knowing my actions are doing some good.
Moving back to Europe has been hard; no more wearing a bikini as daywear and walking about town with no shoes on (Byron Bay I miss you). Now I am trying to navigate a good and sustainable lifestyle in Munich. It can be super hard to find a balance, especially living in a world of consumerism. I just try my best, knowing I can make a small difference, and I am excited to share it with you.
